RP for beginners

I see a flash in the corner of my eye and then hear a heavy roll of thunder, almost like some god was angry at us people. Nonetheless, I simply rolled my eyes and went to get dressed. I grabbed a black tank top, skinny jeans, and a little bit of makeup before I headed out the door to see what this new world held for me.

The lightning flashes through the sky and makes me smile even more, the thunder sends a ripple of shivers down my spine. The rain feels like heaven against my skin and I close my eyes to enjoy every thing

I walk down the street, earning stares from strangers and some of my classmates. I stop in my tracks and scream, "What are you all looking at?!" I glare at everyone before rushing down the sidewalk and around the corner. I bump into something hard and cuss. "Ow!" I hear someone yell.

"Ow!" I yell as I feel someone smack into me hard. I turn around to see a girl was the one to run into me. "Watch where you're going next time." I growl. Then I straighten up. "Are you okay?" I ask.

Name: Amelia but goes by Scout
Looks: tan skin, black long hair with 2 red streaks , dark green eyes, wears jean shorts and dark hoodies.
Power: telepathic, dupication, and tracking
Personality: jumpy, paranoid, untrusting, loner, tough girl, hopeless romantic

I wander around the library looking for a book for my magic theory class when I bump into a boy. I yell, because I dropped all of the book I was carrying. "Hey! Watch where you're going!"

He looks down ashamed and all of a sudden I feel bad. This wasn't like me but last night was terrible with all of the yelling from the room across the hall. "Hey I'm sorry for getting so mad."
We both bend down at the same time to collect the books and we bump heads. I giggle and then put my hand over my mouth. I hadn't giggled since Alex died.

I walk away from her in a rush and head toward the library. I need some books for school, and just for fun. The library is very quiet and not there aren't very many people in here. I head toward the fiction section first.

I run away from the boy, not wanting to think of the memories. I go into the fiction section to pick up another book that I have wanted to read for a while.

I see a girl and walk over to her. "Hello." I say and start looking at the books.

"Hi." I say and go back to reading the back of a book.

"How are you enjoying this school experience?" I ask, trying to make small talk

"I dunno, it's weird that other are like me. If you don't mind me asking, what's your power?" I look at the girl expectantly, even though I didn't know her.

I can sense other magical being and control water." I tell her, glad that she's opening up.

I smile at her while reading her mind. She wanted me to open up. I was confused as to why. "Oh I'm good at tracking, I can duplicate myself and I'm t-telepathic." My stutter kicks in at the end of my dialogue and I mentally swear at myself, pissed.

"Oh, doesn't that make it hard to be friends with people?" I ask

"No, there's a way to block it, want to learn

sure" I say.

"In your mind imagine a huge cavern. On one side are boxes of files and papers, your memories, then in the middle imagine a brick wall that goes all the way up. Make sure there aren't any crack, windows, doors, holes, and you're done." It was simple to do, I had done it many times.

I do as she says and then smile at her. "Did it work?" I ask.
